This is well worth your time, I promise! Julie Mikos is a photographer/friend of one of my clients.. Julie accompanied another friend and her husband as they traveled to Ethiopia to pick up their children. They also took the time to journey into typically unseen areas of the country. You will be energized, moved, and blessed by this video..
PS Sorry I couldn't find a way of posting the actual video.. only the link.

This is our adoption project and gift to our child as we wait.. Attempting to chronicle our journey of unbreakable and unending love as we venture to bring her home to us.. from Tennessee to Ethiopia and back via The Violet Ribbon.

Ethiopia.. geographically vulnerable?
The Arab World
Yep, that little shaded country between Sudan and Somalia.. yep, that's the one.
Its literally surrounded by volatile, erratic dictatorships; violent uprisings: Egypt, Libya, Bahrain to name a few; civil unrest; human rights violators; genocide in Sudan on the west border; Somali pirates/murderers on the east border; human trafficking in Eritrea on the north border... Ack!
What a mess.. so many tragedies unfolding.. but hope too. People are saying "enough!" And that is how revolutions are begun..
May we all continue to pray for the freedom and safety of millions of innocent people..

125 Violet Ribbon Photos... and counting!
Stuart and I are grateful beyond belief for the kindness and love of everyone that has participated in The Violet Ribbon Project thus far.. 125 photos!?!
Amazing!
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!
But we've not reached her yet and I think the Ribbon still has many sights to see before it finally reaches Violet in Ethiopia one day (hopefully!!!) soon...
Truly each photo has been an incredible encouragement and blessing, like a gentle baby kick or flutter in my tummy.. a reminder that something is actually happening!
So please keep them coming! Maybe we can get to 200 before the end of this!? or more!

Wow I needed to read this today...
"But these things I plan won't happen right away. Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. If it seems slow, be patient! For it will surely take place. It will not be late by a single day." Habakkuk 2:3
I am missing our baby tremendously this morning but knowing that this verse is Truth gives me immense comfort and peace...
waiting for our day...
